nobody believed in it, the author of these pages site was about to change the text
in the links part of the site after this year’s
Wimbledon had been finished. The part of the page dedicated to Goran included the
desire and belief that was shared among Goran’s supporters from all over the
world, the longing of those who followed his path in professional tennis. It
stated: “We hope that Goran is going to fulfill his greatest desire, to
win the Wimbledon next year”. But the page remained the same this
summer, a tinny spark of hope still existed, Goran was living for Wimbledon,
this tournament was something which always inspired him, sometimes
positively, sometimes… sometimes he was disappointed. Finally, the page can
only be enriched with photos and text dedicated to this incredible success,
the victory on the greatest tennis tournament in the world is something to
remember. Thanks Goran, for giving us joy, anxiety and tears, thanks for
remembering Drazen.
